It is another great week of wiener dog related items on etsy. We have found four great dachshund items, and one pet tag that Sasha (my black and tan girl) feels every doxie should wear proudly. I am sure you all know by now that squirrels and doxies are at war with each other. heehee. We hope you enjoy these great finds. How Too Paint A Dachshund.

Pinot and Lokie are showing off the fact that doxies must match the newly painted wall of your house. This is accomplished by getting a zoomie just after the wall is finished, but still not quite dry yet. Then ramming your sibling into the newly painted wall until you reach the desired painted dachshund style. Once complete your wall and doxie will match each other (until the humans give the doxies baths).

The bark on the streets this week from the wienies is all about Halloween. Hallowiener Day is the wienies favorite time of year. They can play tricks, eat treats, and dress up oh so cute to win all the pet Halloween costume contests out there.

The wienies want to remind the humans out there to start the hunt for that pawfect Hallowienie costume now. They say, "Mommy, all the big doggies make fun of me if I don't have a cool costume! And the hot dog buns from last year is so doggy day care!"

Saturday Blog Hop: Sasha on the mend.

Many of you know Sasha ripped a toe nail off the other day while running through the sliding back door. She had to wear a bandaged bootie for 24 hours and now the boot has come off. It is a little raw, but looking like it is healing nicely. She is one sweet little girl and is taking her meds with treats. She has even started to walk and run a little with all four paws again unless she wants a little more sympathy. Then, she plays the wounded patient better than most award winning actresses. heehee. But, don't tell her I said that.

Today's message comes from all the black and tan dachshunds out there. "Mommy get me something to break up all this black fur. The sun is roasting this wienie."

Apparently, a light weight shirt in a light coloring will help prevent the black fur from absorbing more of the heat from the sun. Thus, keeping your black and tan wienies a wee bit cooler. Think about if you dressed all in black and sat in the hot summer sun. Now, that would be one very hot experience.
