Lokie And Pinot's Trip To Town

Here is a funny picture. Lokie and Pinot always stop at the wine store in town because the owner gives them treats so now every time we walk by there, they drag me in. We went by one Sunday when they were closed and this is a picture of Lokie trying to get in with Pinot egging her on - she looks like she is saying, Hey Mister! Open up! It's us here for our treats!

Hi Sasha-

This is Lokie. I snuck on mommy's computer and am sending you these cute pictures of me in my new sweater. I know you know how to blog so i figure you are the best dog to send this to. Mommy couldn't find a sweater that would stay on me (they kept falling off, or I'd bite them off, but don't tell mommy) until she had Susan from WarmWeenies make me a custom one and it actually stays on and keeps me warm!

Sunday Dachshund Prayer

Dear God: It is me again, Lokie. I found a good place to hide this winter so Mommy wouldn't make me go out in that cold white stuff. But, as you can see, she found me. Can you please tell her I don't want to come out till spring and if she can put a few more layers of fabric in here, then, I will be good and warm all winter.

Pet Blog Hop Saturday:

How Too Paint A Dachshund.

Pinot and Lokie are showing off the fact that doxies must match the newly painted wall of your house. This is accomplished by getting a zoomie just after the wall is finished, but still not quite dry yet. Then ramming your sibling into the newly painted wall until you reach the desired painted dachshund style. Once complete your wall and doxie will match each other (until the humans give the doxies baths).

Update on Rosie/Lokie:

The rescued and transported Rosie is now settling in to her new forever home. She is responding well to her new name of Lokie and is a little live wire full of energy. Her and her new sister Pinot seem to only slow down to sleep.
