Dear God: It is me again, Lokie. I found a good place to hide this winter so Mommy wouldn't make me go out in that cold white stuff. But, as you can see, she found me. Can you please tell her I don't want to come out till spring and if she can put a few more layers of fabric in here, then, I will be good and warm all winter.

The bark on the streets this week is all about the appearance of Santa doxies and dachshund Christmas ornaments appearing in stores. The doxies do love Halloweenier Night lick or treating, but Santa Paws and Christmas prezzies just makes their little butts wiggle in anticipation. The doxie neighborhood conversations are going something like this: "I wonder what new doxie ornament my mommy will buy for the indoor tree this year? You know they can't resist miniature dachshunds hanging in a tree. Any year now they will have to get a tree just for the doxie ornaments."

It is that time of year again. Time to dust off the bun costume and dig out the devil horns. Halloweenie day is fast approaching and you know our little doxies get so excited about lick or treating.
The bark on the streets this week is the complaint that most of the good sweet kibbles (candy) are poisonous to dogs. The doxies want you to know, "Keep the chocolate candy away from us little devils this year. We prefer turkey jerky, bone shaped biscuits, or even cheese, please!"

One of Maddie's last days visiting with us and we finally get them all sitting in the same chair together. Maddie's cat-a-tude is almost completely gone and tonight she is headed home to her kitty brother probably for some serious dog deprogramming. heehee.
