Dachshund Team Hero: Peewee!

One of our dachshund team members, Suz had a house fire last night. Suz is owned by three wiener dogs named Peewee, Frito, and Zuke. During the wee hours of the morning, Suz awoke to Peewee being very antsy and poking at her with her nose like she wanted to go out. The other two dachshunds were burrowed deep under the covers sound asleep. When Suz sleepily got up out of bed (thinking to let the dog out), she smelled a very strange smell like burning plastic. She then discovered the smoke in the house. Suz quickly got the family up and out of the house safe and sound. They had fire alarms that were heat sensitive and not smoke sensitive so they never went off. If it hadn't been for a very alert little doxie, Miss Peewee, the whole family could have died in a fire before the fire department would have arrived. It turned out to be a fire caused by an electrical issue with their heater. I thought I would share this little wienie team hero today with all of you. So Yip Yap Furray for Peewee!! You saved four people and three doxies' lives yesterday.

Doxies are very versatile dogs--imagine a furry fire alarm!

Found you through the Blog Hop. Tales from the Dach Side is my favorite punny title ever!

Yay Peewee! You're a super hero doxie. I am so glad all of the family got out OK. I hope the house is OK, but the most important thing is they are all safe.
Kisses and hugs to Peewee.
And some high fives from Gianna and Giupetto.

Awesome job, Peewee!! We once had a German Shepard that saved my grandmother's life...I'll always follow an "antsy" dog to see what they're trying to tell me! God Bless you and your family, Peewee!!
