This week the anticipation of spring has sent all those near sighted dachshunds out there to their eye dachshunds. They all have just got to have the latest in squirrel spotting technology. I can here them saying: "You knows with these I can spot a squirrel at a 100 zoomies!"

Bandit: "Dear God: Thank you for giving me new loving humans in a forever family and not letting me go to a kill shelter to be put to death. Plus, I gots 2 doxie bros and a sis in the deal. I thinks I hit the jackpot!"
Frito: "Dear God: Um, I thinks I asked you for a new toy. NOT a new BOY -doxie brother. I thinks you must of herd me wrong or something."

Saturday And Sasha Is Bored.
Sasha here. It is Saturday. Which means mommy is going to be busy with chores and ignores me most of the day. I can't decides whats to do. Should I de-stuff and de-squeek-afi a toy, gets into the trash can, high jacks the socks from the laundry, chase some invisible squirrels, or just do some on-line dachshund surfing?

Monday's Message From Your Dachshund
This week the doxies have been getting a bit of cabin fever. The snow and cold has returned, and you can only hide under blankies for so long. Thus, the bark on the streets is which doxie is throwing their own TP party today. I can hear a few woofs say, "Yes, at 10 am, I will hijack the good roll of TP. Ya knows the plush two ply stuff kept for when company comes, and you knows what is coming. Party!!" rip, shred, tare..........

Sasha's Letter From Lokie
Hi Sasha-
This is Lokie. I snuck on mommy's computer and am sending you these cute pictures of me in my new sweater. I know you know how to blog so i figure you are the best dog to send this to. Mommy couldn't find a sweater that would stay on me (they kept falling off, or I'd bite them off, but don't tell mommy) until she had Susan from WarmWeenies make me a custom one and it actually stays on and keeps me warm!

Monday's Message From Your Dachshund
All the little doxies are very down this week. The cold weather has returned and their hopes of an early spring has been halted by mother nature's snow fury. The little wieners have only been barking a few words from under the cover of their snuggle sacks. Those words that can be repeated go something like this: "I is hibernating until the real spring comes and can somedoxie please bribe that no good squirrel loving ground hog this year!"

The record warm temps all over the United States this last week has got the doxies all excited about an early spring. They are eager to shed their winter coats, get out from under cover of the snuggle sacks, and head out on the open road for car rides once again. Monday's Message From Your Dachshund
Now, that the new year has begun and the new squeakies from Santa have been de-squeaked. The thoughts of our little furry friends looks forward to love and friendship of Valentine's day. The bark on the streets this week is all about which doxie will be the one they will share their treats and toys with this year. I over heard them barking while sniffing at the local fire hydrants and telephone poles, "He loves me. He loves me not. He loves me. He loves me not."
