Dachshund Prayers

Every Sunday Sasha and I would like to offer one of her "Dachshund Prayers" for thought. Just a friendly reminder that every creature has a right to believe or not believe in a higher power. This post is not meant to influence any one's personal spiritual beliefs, but hopefully will inspire us humans to appreciate life in all its glory and sometimes misunderstandings.

Dear God,

It is me again, the dachshund. Can you remind my big brother that it says that I am suppose to be my brother's keeper. Keeper of his food, his toys, his blankie, his treats, his spot on the sofa,.........

Is your brother the keeper of YOUR things, too? If so, then you might as well just keep your own things....

Art, Sasha says, it doesn't say Sister's Keeper. heehee. She is a stickler for details that one.

Fergus is the keeper in our house. I cannot beleive how readily ginger surrenders her big ole rawhide that Fergus can barely carry. Not Mimi though (the other doxie of course). She is all teeth and growls if Fergus even looks her way when she has a bone. Somehow though he manages to distract her. He will run barking to the door and when she follows, he'll double back and grab her bone. He fakes her out! Smart boy- like his mom. :-)
